8 months

Happy Birthday to my sweet baby Hadley Jean!!! She is 8 months old today. Man how the time has FLOWN. She is now crawling like a maniac, creeping all along the couches, pulling herself up and climbing on everything. She's a little chatterbox too, sayin mama and dada all day long, sooo precious! It won't be long before she's walking and talking and I've got 2 little heart breakers on my hands!!

We love you Hadley Jean!

Old McDonald had a farm..

This past weekend we went back to the Mr's parents farm, his 2nd to youngest sister was graduating from high school. Gracen had a hay day outside, was literally covered in dirt pretty much the entire time. She got to play with kittys, puppys, sand, swings you name it! I wish I would've gotten a picture at the end of the night. On Saturday we gave her a bath before we left for the graduation, and left her back at the farm with Uncle Alan so she didnt have to sit in the hot gym for an hour and a half. When we returned, she was covered all over again. I'm not even kidding she looked like a one of the orphans on Annie! And I thought she was bad, then I got a look at her cousin Addie, who it turned out had gotten in her mom's makeup and had black all over her face. Needless to say they got 2 baths Saturday night. haha.

Sweet baby Hadley, she ended up in just her diaper most of the day because it was so hot!

Just swingin with Daddy

My future soccer star perhaps!

Playin with one of the many kittys

The girls in their matching outfits, I would've tried for a better pose together, but it was so hot and everyone was already cranky it wasn't even worth it!!

Overall we had a great weekend and got to see all our cousins and most of the aunts and uncles! We'll see them all again here in a couple weeks for Uncle Travis' wedding!

The cutest stinkin flower in town

This week marked a special occassion, Hadley girl got her pics taken! Now we try to get them done around 6 months when they're giggling and can sit up on their own. With Gracen we got em around 6.5 months, and can be seen here. but we're a little behind on Had's. But I must say I am quite the creative director. Everytime I go get their pics taken I bring my own props, and the people always ask if they can use my ideas in the future. I think I should've gone into photography! They even asked me where I got my bucket. haha. Can't believe how fast it's all gone. Seems like yesterday we just took Gracen's!!!

Seriously. Could she be any cuter?

This one they LOVED. They asked if they could use it for advertising purposes! (I like to think it's becuase she's the cutest baby in the world, but I know I'm biased, it's just really creative :)

She's going to be 1 before we know it, where does the time go???

Thursday night fun

Last week was pretty slow for the husband at work, so he got to come home early almost every day, hooray! Since we didn't do much for Mother's Day (neither of the girls slept well Sat night, and were cranky pretty much all day Sunday) we took the girls to Chuck E Cheese Thursday night. Gracen loved the jungle gym part of it, but sometimes got scared when she was up top all by herself. Daddy had to go get her more then once much to the Mama's amusement haha. Luckily we were smart enough to feed the kids  before, becuase once we were there, she would not sit still. But she had a blast and it was also smart of us to go on a weeknight, becuase there were maybe 3 other families there. And I will say I was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was considering we are in Topeka. haha. A few pics of the lady in action. Also there was only ONE ride that she liked and I'm pretty sure we did it about 30 times. Good thing everything's only 25 cents!

Climbing in the jungle gym

This is the one ride she loved. And she especially liked the fact that Chuck was sitting next to her.

This little lady was content just chillin out chewin on some celery!

A first for Mama

Friday night was the first night I had ever spent the night away from kids. Ever. While I welcomed a full uninterrupted nights sleep, it was still a little sad to know they can survive without me :)

Friday night was Christina's (the hubs bro's fiance) bachelorette party in Lawrence. While it was a fun time out with all the girls, it was also definitely a reminder that I am not 21 anymore. I didn't even drink that much, or so I thought. But Saturday was hell. Literally. The husband had to work, so his brother watched the girls a little bit in the am till I could get home. I didn't get to sleep until 2 am, and then woke up at 6 feeling awful with cotton mouth. Worst feeling ever. I couldn't get back to sleep, and was definitely trying to talk myself out of throwing up. Didn't work. 7 am rolled around and I was in the bathroom. TMI? too late! haha. Anyways I was back home by 8, but I felt so horrible. I have now given myself a 3 drink minimum to avoid such happenings in the future. Which is going to be hard considering everything that's coming up with 3 weddings, 2 showers, 2 bachelorette parties, my golden birthday, and many more things that come up along the way. Hopefully I can stick to it, becuase I certainly never want to feel that way again!

Here's a few pics from the night, what I don't get is that I remember everything, I never felt bad during the night, but somehow Friday night you kicked my ass.

The whole group at the hotel

The lone shot I took, and it was only because it was the bride-to-be's request

Classy. Hopefully I survive all the parties to come.

Happy Birthday Gracen! (Part Two)

Last weekend we had Gracen's birthday party at our house. And it was a blast! The party consisted solely of cousins, Aunts and Uncles and there were 19 people here total, I'd say that was plenty! Gracen had such a great time playing with all her cousins, and of course the cake. I didn't really take any pictures of anything besides her blowing out candles and eating cake, because I decided to sit back and enjoy the party and not obsess about pictures!

Digging in the frosting already

Such a little turkey!

Overall it was a great time! Even Uncle Adam made the hour drive to T-town w/ Aunt Nanie!

haha!
