How on earth do you buy an avacado? I'm not even kidding you this is a serious question, so if you know, please enlighten me! Hadley is starting to transition to table food, and I've read that avacado's are a great food for babies becuase they're already really soft so you should just have to cut them up reall small and let her at it. If only it were so simple. I don't like avacados, I don't even like guacamole. But for the sake o my sweet babes, I attempted to buy one at the store. We got home and the next day I sliced her open. And the thing was literally hard as a rock. And it's my understanding, that thats not what it should be like.. haha. So I'm not sure if it wasn't ripe enough, or if it was too old. So if you know anything about avacados and how to buy them, please help a mama out!

I think half of Finley's diet is avocado! When he was littler, I would mash it up with some pureed turkey and spoon feed him. Now, I cut it in half, and then take one half and cut in 4 sections top to bottom, then about 6 the other way (while its in the skin still). I put the other half in the fridge for the next day. Then I just pop the little pieces out of the skin and he love them! It should be soft but not mushy. Let me know if you need more help!
Thanks!! How do I tell if it's ripe at the store? haha I feel so silly! Is there a color the outside should be or something?
