I'M LOVING that tomorrow is Thanksgiving! cannot wait for all the yummy food! and I'm excited to make my spin dip, buffalo chicken dip and pumpkin cheesecake.

I'M LOVING all the previews of black friday shopping. Even though I'm not able to go with my family this year (we'll be at the Mr.'s side this year), I will most definitely be there in spirit! And a little online shopping never hurt anyone either right?

I'M LOVING seeing all the Christmas lights up on the houses! Sometimes it's fun just to drive around the neighborhood with the girls and look at all the wonderful displays

I'M LOVING the movie Tinkerbell. And not because I enjoy watching it, but because the girls adore it. And that's an understatement. Anytime I need to get anything done, I just pop that in and VOILA! they're occupied for an hour at least.

and of course I'M LOVING my amazing husband and 2 precious girls! I see holiday's from a whole new perspective with them, and it truly is a gift!

Vaccuums!!!! I know I'm getting old when that is on my wish list. I won't get into why our vacuum has to go, but let's just say it's BAD. So I would looooove a Dyson ball vaccum, hello no bags! And to be really selfish, I would love a Roomba vac on the side!! My cleaning life would be so much easier!

Isn't she a beaut??? And purple too, yes please!

Hands free vacuuming, YES PLEASE! I'd say the Mr. would WAY rather have this vacuum then a dog. Are you reading this love? I'll stop bugging you about a dog if we had one of these :) HAHA

Had an awesome weekend. We didn't do anything super spectacular, but that's just fine with me. With the holidays coming, there's going to be plenty of time for chaos.

Hello Thanksgiving week! Seriously I can't believe it's in a couple days. Where has this month year gone?! I feel like every day that goes by is really a week. I still remember being excited for Easter, and Gracen's birthday and my birthday... and now it's Thanksgiving!!! I welcome all the yummy food, I'm literally drooling just thinking about it.

Speaking of food, I decided to try the Special K challenge (once Thanksgiving is over of course). I've still got a couple o pesky pounds I'd like to get rid of, so I'll blog more on that later to see if it actually works!

Oprah's Favorite Things

yesterday marked the very last oprah's favorite things show.

ever.

although i'm sad that oprah will no longer be on every day,

it's hard to watch the show with no dvr.

(gasp! i know we dont have dvr! wait for it... we dont even have cable!!)

there are SO many commercials during oprah it gets annoying.

but anyways

i wait ALL season long for oprah's favorite things

and this year

it's 2 days!

can you imagine what it must be like to be in the audience?

they had paramedics standing throughout in case anyone fainted or hyperventilated

(if i was there, pretty sure it would've been me)

The noon battle

almost every single day i dread lunch time

its a constant battle with gracen

and dinner time too for that matter

hadley eats everything i give her in about 2 minutes flat

i'm praying she stays that way

these past 2 days have been a different story

either gracen has miraculously decided not to be a difficult eater..

or i've stumbled upon 2 things that she'll actually eat

yesterday we had breakfast for lunch

i had my back to her doing the dishes for about 2 or 3 minutes

i turned around and her plate was EMPTY

now at first i thought she dumped it on the floor or sneakly placed it on hadleys tray

but no, she ate it. ALL of it

and then asked for more!

then today, same thing!

she ate all of her lunch without whining or me shoving it in her mouth

and asked for more!!

please let this be a trend,

becuase i HATE the noon battle!

What I'm lovin Wednesday!

I'M LOVIN that it's the 1st really chilly day of fall, and it might snow today! (talk to me in Feb. and I won't be so excited about this!)

I'M LOVIN that Thanksgiving is a week and a day away! Anything that food is the center of, is definitely something I love!

I'M LOVIN that we've got our Christmas tree out and ready to put up! The Mr. isn't quite as Christmas-obsessed as I am, so this is a huge step for him, it was his idea and it's not even after Thanksgiving yet!

I'M LOVIN all things sparkly (perhaps because of the holidays hehe):

and this just so happens to be reversible!

I may have a slight obsession with scarves

It's not really sparkly, but still pretty!

Today's top 2 tuesday, favorite jobs!

I don't know if this counts as a job persay, but in my sorority I was the social chair.

and i loved it!! i got to plan all the parties, and design all the t-shirts, sweatshirts and party favors.

it wasn't paying obvi,  but it was still a blast!

Being a stay at home Mommy!!! I don't ever have to worry about being late for work (only for doc appts!)

I get to play with girls all day long.

and I am my own boss!

i've been extremely blessed to be able to stay home. LOVES IT!

Miscellany Monday

what a CRAZY weekend. it was so jam packed, i can't even believe it's already Monday, and I'm desperately trying to catch up on everything.. laundry, dishes, cleaning, blogging!

Happy birthday (on friday) to my brother! I can't believe he's already 22, it seriously feels like I just turned 22!

Friday night Aunt Nanie and Uncle Matt (and of course Scout the puppy) came to visit! We had a great time eating yummy food (esp. snickers cheesecake for dessert!), watching Toy Story 3, chatting, and of course a little drinking.

Saturday night was a girls night out for me, with some of my neighborhood mommy friends. we had a GREAT time, let's just say 99 cent margaritas were involved :)

I got carded at the mexican restaraunt for a margarita, I was excited, made me feel young :)

at the bar we went to someone was guessing our ages and he guessed 2 years older then I actually am... ouch, made me feel old :( haha

Sunday we got out pictures taken outside! I can hardly WAIT to see the results, I'm only a wee bit impatient like that!!

holy november! next week is Thanksgiving, really?!?!? this not only excites me, but it's pure madness, that means Christmas is literally RIGHT around the corner!

Now for the questions!

1.   The most spontaneous thing I've ever done was  in all honesty, I'm not that spontaneous anymore!! Any my memory has gotten so bad. But I'd have to say just about anything I did in college was spontaneous. You could give me 2 minutes notice, and I'd be up for anything! Including road trips to KU to visit friends, or shopping trips to KC!

 

3.  A time that I was truly and genuinely surprised was    The first Valentine's day when me and the Mr. were dating. He had some good tricks up his sleeve!

4.  I can't leave the house without        my kiddos! and of course a diaper bag .

5.  My favorite day of the week is      Friday    because      I know I've got the whole weekend ahead of us and the possibilities are endless!

6.  Something that can always make me laugh is        SNL, but more specific the best of Will Ferrel. If you haven't seen it you need to, right now! It's so funny, gets me rolling everytime!    .

7.  My perfect day would include       sleeping in, getting pampered and being on vacation with my family!!       .

- um, just about all of them! i hate folding laundry, i can toss it in the washer and dryer with the best of them, but i HATE folding it and putting it away!

-totally Mall Madness. The recording on ours got so worn out, we used to just giggle at how funny it sounded!

Wrong Windy City

last time i checked, chicago is the windy city

well apparently my city is trying to imitate chicago.

but hey imitation is the sincerest form of flattery

right?

well i really wish the wind would die down

enough already!

it's been over a week

and there hasn't been a day yet that i don't feel like i'm going to blow away

i'm eating my hair becuase its constantly blown in my face

Let's get organized

this year Daddy got his Christmas present early (uh way early)

and just what do you get for a guy who says he doesn't want anything?

something he secretly wants :)

well he didn't technically want this

but he did want the effect that it has on our household

OrGaNiZaTiOn!

i spent many hours reseraching what it was exactly i wanted

and of course did mucho comparison shopping

and ended up getting a great deal

what is it you ask?

are you dying with anticipation yet?

well don't be it's not all THAT exciting :)

but here she is:

i put it together all by myself!

(insert pat on the back here)

we always seem to have a problem with toys strewn just about everywhere,

but not with this beaut!

she's nestled right next to the couch

there's enough room where the kids can get the toys out

but also they're not in the WIDE open begging to be thrown all over the floor!

today Hadley decided the bins themselves made great toys!

At least we know we got our money's worth!!

I am thankful for this beautiful fall weather!

it's been so nice, and this means lots of playing outside time with my girls and daddy

i'm also thankful for them :)

they always put a smile on my face

and bring so much joy to each day

I'm thankful for where we live

we've been very blessed with our neighborhood,

it's full of lots of teeny kids to play with

and nice stay at home mommies i've gotten to know and call friends

and of course K-State fans!

we spent Saturday night at one of our neighbors watching the game

eating great food

and of course lots of play time for the kiddos!

there's so many things to be thankful for,

it's nice to take some time and think about it :)

Miscellany Monday

It's miscellany Monday time!

1. the time change did nothin for me. i'm exhausted, as well as confused all the time, about what time it actually is

2. really excited K-State is bowl eligible, now if i only i had the extra money layin around to go!

3. i love getting new pajamas, one of my favorite things about colder weather is the warm toasty jammies!

4. had such a great weekend, and now looking forward to my sister and her hubby visiting this next weekend

A lazy kind of Sunday

I love Sundays.

lazy Sundays.

Last night we watched the K-State game at our friends house

and it was brutal.

for Texas!

It was such an awesome game

and a great time with new friends.

the kids were up far too late

but enjoyed playing with their friends.

they slept in a little this morning,

but other than that daylight savings doesn't mean much

when you're only 1 and 2.

Church this morning was rough.

they were both a bit cranky.

and both crashed soon after.

giving Mama and Daddy an oppurtunity to nap as well.

hooray!

today it's still 70 out,

hopefully after naps we'll get one more good day of playing outside!

all in all another great weekend

gone by entirely to fast!
